The Nostalgia of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Series

As the game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released, players found it to be extremely nostalgic. This was made possible partly by the soundtrack. The soundtrack allowed the players to remember music from their childhood that was still implemented into the new game around 20 years later. Players were able to open the door to their childhood from the early 2000's. For new players of a younger age who did not experience nostalgia, they are able to be exposed to a culture that they are not as familiar with. Due to the game's popularity, music from the 90's and early 2000's was introduced younger generations as they play the game. Music is such an important aspect when looking at the culture of any time period. Through music, these younger generations as well as older are able to be brought back to a time when things were very different. The image is an iconic image from the Tony Hawk Pro skater series, it is very recognizable to many who played the game.
